Born in Forest Gate, East London, she is a recent divorcee from a 27year relationship. Marcia lives in Bedford with her 2 adult sons, one of which, is non verbal with severe learning difficulties. Marcia is a full time carer and part time tutor at Bedford Arts and Crafts Centre.

Her higher educational background is in 3D Design, (furniture). However, life’s journey took her into community care and social work for 10 years. Her experience of special needs became personal with the birth of her youngest son Ben.

Marcia rekindled her love of art in Adult Education, pursuing formal courses in pottery.  Her passion for figurative painting was triggered with the experience of a short course at Central St Martins. Historically, working in 3D was always a first choice for her, but with the discovery of oils, a new world opened up, which she passionately continues to explore.
